Empowering Women groups and girls through Mushroom Cultivation: A successful training with support from The Rotary Club of Kampala South.
In our ongoing efforts to empower communities, we recently conducted a hands-on training program in mushroom cultivation, specifically targeting women and young girls. This impactful initiative was made possible with the generous support of the Rotary Club of Kampala South, which shares our vision of creating sustainable livelihoods.

Over the course of the training, participants were introduced to the entire process of mushroom cultivation, from preparing the substrate to harvesting. The women and girls were eager to learn practical skills that can be turned into a sustainable business, providing both nutrition and income for their families.

One of the highlights of the training was witnessing the excitement as the participants enjoyed mushroom soup which is among the value added products derived from mushrooms. Members from the Rotary club of Kampala South were also treated to a breakfast of mushroom products like Samosas and were also taken through the mushroom value chain.

We are deeply grateful to the Rotary Club of Kampala South for their invaluable support. Their dedication to community development and empowerment played a crucial role in making this training a success.
This is just the beginning! We look forward to continuing our partnership with the Rotary Club of Kampala South and expanding our training programs to reach more women and girls, helping them achieve economic independence through mushroom cultivation.
