What the Students Learned

The session began with an introduction to MTRC, where students were taken through:

  •  An overview of our staff and their roles in training and mushroom production
  •  A SWOT analysis of our business—highlighting our strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats
  •  Our impact on the community, including youth empowerment and food security
  •  The factors that favored our location, such as climate, market demand, and resource availability

Following this, the students embarked on a guided tour of our center, where they gained hands-on insights into:

Inspiring Future Agripreneurs

The students were highly engaged, asking thoughtful questions and expressing a keen interest in mushroom farming as a business opportunity. This training not only provided them with practical skills but also broadened their understanding of agribusiness as a viable career path.

At MTRC, we believe in empowering youth with hands-on knowledge to drive sustainable agriculture and entrepreneurship. We look forward to collaborating with more schools to nurture future agribusiness leaders.
