Progress Update on Our Button Mushroom Project

  At   Mushroom Training and Resource Center (MTRC) , we are making great strides in our   button mushroom project , ensuring every step is carefully executed for a successful harvest. Here’s an update on what we have accomplished so far: 1. Spreading the Straw We began by carefully  spreading bean straw , which serves as the primary growing medium. This step is crucial as it provides the right structure for mushroom growth while retaining moisture and nutrients. Spreading bean straw to be used as substrate for button mushroom cultivation 2. Watering the Substrate Maintaining the right moisture levels is key.     No comments Introduction Since its establishment in 2007, Mushroom Training and Resource Centre (MTRC) has been a leader in mushroom farming, primarily focusing on oyster mushrooms. Over the years, we have trained and supported over 30,000 farmers across Uganda, helping them adopt mushroom cultivation as a sustainable income source. Now, MTRC is expanding its expertise to include  button mushroom farming , marking a significant milestone in our journey toward diversifying mushroom production.
