MUSHROOM TRAINING AND RESOURCE CENTRE

  MTRC is a registered Community Based Organization (CBO) located in Kabale District, 3km from Kabale town along Kabale-Mbarara road in Kabatogote Cell, Kyanamira Sub County. The Centre was established in 2007 and has been fully operational since then, supporting mushroom farmers especially women and youth from various districts across Uganda. MTRC is accredited by Directorate of Industrial Training (DIT) under the Ministry of Education and Sports to conduct short certificate courses. Our vision is to improve livelihoods for present and future generations within rural communities through increased mushroom production and sales. Our mission is to support rural farmers, especially women and youth with oyster mushroom growing enterprises, which are economically viable, socially and culturally acceptable, and ecologically sustainable.
